Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a press conference held in the Iranian city of Qom on Saturday, December 3, Ayatollah Sayyed Hashem Husseini Bushehri, a senior Shia cleric, made some remarks regarding the Islam conference to be held next week, saying, “The 10th round of the convention is going to be held in the holy city of Qom and it’s due to take place on December 7-8 in Imam al-Kadhim Seminary school,”

Chairman of the conference titled ‘The Convention of Qom’s Society of Seminary Teachers and Scholars’ went on to explain, “One of the major responsibilities of Qom’s Society of seminary teachers is to develop cooperation with scholars from across Iranian provinces; luckily, we’ve managed to organize 9 national Islamic Conventions as well as 7 regional meetings in Iran since 1999, the year that we began holding such series of Islamic conferences,”

“The topic for this round of the convention was decided based on statements of the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, last year during his meeting with senior scholars in which he asserted this year’s conference to be held under the title ‘Revolutionary Seminary; Musts and Strategies’.” Ayatollah Bushehri added.

“Grand Ayatollahs Sobhani and Yazdi will be the key note speakers of the opening ceremony; we’re also going to benefit from the expertise of scholars from other Iranian provinces in different commissions,” Qom’s Friday Prayer Leader said.

Ayatollah Bushehri went on, “Almost 2000 people have been invited to the event; a special publication is also going to be produced for the conference;”

Answering a question on who are going to be the main speakers of the event, Ayatollah Bushehri reiterated that the all scholars present in the conference will be free to share their ideas and thoughts.

“There’s going to be a final resolution recited at the end of the conference and it will be in accordance with the current conditions of Iran condemning the U.S. government’s recent breaching of the Nuclear Deal, “The senior cleric concluded.
